The Unwanted Spice Part 2

Just when you seem to be friends with life again, it seems to like to push you down again.

It appears to be (major) male factor infertility, at least from the initial results.

We are devastated.

I guess that unwanted spice will be in our food for quite some time to come.

Visiting from LFCA. male factor infertility really sucks. I am so sorry that you have to deal with this. My Dh was diagnosed Azoospermia last summer. It has been a long hard journey, but I am coming to terms with the choices that we have to make now. Getting that initial diagnosis was like a punch in my gut, with many more to follow. The first few weeks were the worst, but with time it got easier. Reading the stories of others who have dealt with similar circumstances has been so comforting and I am so grateful to have found this wonderful ALI community. I don't know the details of your whole story, but want you to know that you are not alone in dealing with the male factor infertility. Feel free to email anytime if there are questions that I can answer. warmly - foxy (foxypopcorn at gmail)

Stopping by from LFCA, so sorry to hear you guys have received this news. My husband & I also struggled with MFI issues, we went through IVF and due to a loss are now pursuing a FET with embryo donation in the future. There is an amazing group of women in the blosophere, you are not alone in this journey.

So sorry to hear that this is your situation, it's so sucky. My husband is sterile and we used IVF with TESE and ICSI (and assisted hatching) and are now pregnant. The good news is there's lots of hope for you. Check out my blog and read our story.

Oh, I'm so sorry.
We also have MFI problems, though we don't quite know the extent of it.
Thinking of you.

hi jo,
hedwig here, also from lfca. my husband was also diagnosed with azoospermia in may/june 08. i didn't get out of bed the next day. it has truly been a hard road, particularly finding a path that was right for us and finding a way to follow that path while living in Europe - but after a lot of false starts, we are expecting early next year after donor FET.
(hugs) I am so sorry you received bad news.

I found your blog through LFCA and I just wanted you to know that we dealt with the same issue and I'm pregnant after IVF #1. The best thing DH did was find a terrific urologist. Good luck to you both. There's still hope.
